Overview

Globalization was already slowing down before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the global economy. The pandemic will in many ways serve as a catalyst for trends that were already well underway. Trade wars and protectionism, lockdowns and travel bans all point to a world of limited mobility, trade and investment. The world could benefit from solidarity to fix globalization rather than unilateral steps.

What might be the future of global governance and should we think about way to revitalize the international financial architecture and the multilateral institutions that govern it?
