The high-level confreence focused on the challenges of maintaining the independence and credibility in the operations of central banks, while simultaneously strengthening their capacity to carry out the new tasks they are being asked to accomplish.Emphasis was also placed on the lessons learned from the recent crisis as well as the medium-term challenges that central banks have faced.
